Huawei unveiled some decent set of smartphones so far, such as Huawei P30, Huawei Mate X and more. They are quite impressive, but ditches your pockets with higher prices. Huawei Nova 6 along with Huawei Nova 6 Pro were introduced to render great performance at a budget price. Of these, Huawei Nova 6 is the first in series to pack in the new Kirin 980 chipset.
Design & Display
The latest budget Huawei Nova 6 offers a water-drop notch display screen with a premium glass design. While the Huawei Nova 5i offers a punch-hole display. The Pro version boasts 6.39-inches display screen with a screen resolution of 1080 X 2340 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 403ppi and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. It measures at 157.4 x 74.8 x 7.3 mm and weighs 171g. Unlike the Redmi K20 Pro that features a pop-up selfie camera design, the new Huawei Nova 5 Pro boasts a notch with a selfie camera. For security, there is an in-display fingerprint scanner that unlocks the device within a fraction of seconds.
Huawei Nova 6 Processor & Performance
Talking about the performance, the Huawei smartphone users the latest HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor that renders enhanced performance. It is coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal memory. The storage can be further expanded for up to 256GB using the Nano memory card slot. Multitasking is never a concern and is claimed to be faster than Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. This is the first mobile phone SoC that holds two 7nm based process. Other connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, and USB 2.0. There is a proximity sensor that can detect when the user is holding the phone near the face during a call and turns off the display to avoid battery consumption and unwanted keyboard presses. The device runs on Android 9.0 Pie which is the newer version of OS.
Camera & Battery
Unlike the Huawei P30 series smartphones, the latest Huawei Nova 6 is equipped with a quad-camera setup. It includes a 48MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture size and a 2MP macro camera. The rear camera supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) to counteract camera shake. On the front end, there is a 32MP sensor of f/2.0 aperture size. It can record videos of 1080p at 30fps. A 3500mAh battery fuels the device and comes in with the support of 40W fast charging. It can easily get from 0 to 85 percent within half an hour. The other two variants have the fast charging support of only 18W. But the Huawei Nova 5i is equipped with a bigger battery of 4000mAh.
